Mr. Martin Avalon

I was confused about which major should I be taking in Liberty University. Now that I know that God wants me here, what does he want me to do? So before I left Malaysia to come here, I pray that He will open the doors for me. If He wants me to be in the worship and music studies, He will need to provide for me, indirectly meaning a guitar.

Long story short, and leaving the suspension, on the first week I got here, Micah and Josh bought me a guitar! and not just a cheap guitar, but a martin! I am blown away by God's answer to my prayer, and Micah and Josh's kindness towards me. WOW

That's not all, God also had in mind of me few years back when I played the guitar for Dan Carson, Daniel Carson(the electric guitarist for Chris Tomlin)'s dad, few years back. I asked him what brand of guitar should I look for but he replied me to inform me that he had an extra guitar in his basement..and..it is Chris Tomlin's guitar! goodness gracious! and a month or two later, he actually mailed it to me when Tomlin said that I can have his guitar! HOW COOL IS THAT!

In summary, God faithfully brought me here to Liberty, and even showed me so clearly that He wants me to be in this program I am studying now. Isn't my God just so awesome? WOW.

Stones: Opportunity to study in LU

Liberty University is a very expensive university to attend (at least for an average, foreign family like mine). Applying to come here, getting the scholarship, and getting the support that I have seems to point to one conclusion--God went before me and brought me here.

I remember that day when I received my SAT results. On that day, I was almost certain that God will give me the results I need to enter into the Honors Program (in order to study in LU, I need the scholarship from the honors program). I was disappointed to find out that my results are not good enough.

Despite that fact, Uncle Rodney still asked me to take another test (ACT), knowing the results will only come out after the application deadline for the honors program. Having faith, I took the test. And when I received the results, it was the results that I needed to get in order to enter the program. Wow. And guess what? few weeks after that, I got a letter from Liberty saying that I am accepted into the Honors Program. WOW! What a wonderful God we have! Despite the deadline, He was still able to bring me into the program.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Joshua 4 - Memorial Stone

Hi, my name is Bryan Tang and I am a prayer ministry manager in the LU Prayer Center. While I was doing my prayer journal today, I realize that it is actually biblical to journal about the great things that the Lord has done in my life.

In Joshua 4, we see that God commanded the Israelites to set up memorial stone so that people will remember the wondrous works and deeds of God. Therefore, I have decided to set up this blog as a place to blog about some of the wonderful things that God has done in my life.

"Lord, I pray that you will use the words written here to inspire and to encourage the readers in the future, including me. That You will use it to remind us how great You truly are. Amen."
